FAQ
About Homeopathy
Frequently Asked Questions
Is homeopathy safe?
Due to the method of preparation homeopathic remedies are completely safe and non-toxic. Taking homeopathic remedies is safe once taken under the direction of a qualified homeopath or once the prescriber has gained their own knowledge from a certified homeopathic course.
Is it a form of herbalism?
While a proportion of homeopathic remedies are based on plants the principles that govern the two therapies and the way the remedies are prepared are quite different. In addition, homeopathic remedies are not based solely on plants but also many natural substances found in the world.
Is it a form of vaccination?
No. Homeopathy and vaccination have similar concepts however, they are very different practices. Vaccines work on the physical body in a very specific way, in that they stimulate the immune system directly to produce specific antibodies as if that person had contracted that particular disease. Homeopathic remedies affect the energy patterns or the vital force of a person and by so doing stimulate the body to heal itself; they are administered orally in a diluted and safe dose. The remedies are not tested on animals and do not have side-effects.
