A Natural Approach to Healthcare
More of us than ever before are embracing a more natural approach to healthcare and our general wellbeing. We are currently seeing a resurgence in natural, holistic treatments such as Homeopathy at a pace not seen before.
Whether it’s to alleviate symptoms in acute conditions or to work alongside conventional treatments in chronic conditions, studies are showing that more and more of us are looking to natural medicine such as Homeopathy as a way to take control of our own healthcare.
This worldwide change has opened up exciting new career opportunities leading to a surge in people looking to choose Homeopathy as a professional and highly rewarding career path.
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a natural and complementary medicine system that treats the person, not a disease. Homeopathy uses tiny amounts of natural substances, like plants and minerals to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. Homeopathy was created and developed towards the end of the 18th century by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician.
This holistic health approach is based on a simple yet profound healing principle: “like cures like.”
Homeopathy works in a holistic way taking into account the physical, mental and emotional characteristics of a person, supporting the body and helping it stay in balance at every age from childhood, through teens into old age.
When a person experiences ill health, their sense of wholeness is lost and their vital ‘life force’ becomes weakened. This can affect the individual on a physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual level. The person reacts to this state by producing symptoms of illness on any number of these levels.
Homeopathic remedies stimulate the body’s own healing abilities and when these natural healing abilities are stimulated the person’s ‘life force’ is supported.
When the vital force is restored, the sense of wholeness and integrity of the person is returned. This removes the cause of any symptoms and allows the person to naturally regain a state of health.
Homeopathy as a Profession
Homeopathy is a very rewarding profession that allows you to naturally and considerably enhance the health and wellbeing of others using natural remedies. A Homeopath (someone who practices homeopathy) considers the whole individual, not simply the symptom or sickness.
The Homeopath approaches each individual as a unique personality in order to maximise their inherent natural potential to heal. If used correctly, Homeopathic treatments are both beneficial and devoid of adverse effects. Rather than just looking at the illness,
Homeopathy treats the person and works with the body’s natural healing ability to stimulate a natural healing response and restore health and wellbeing without the worry of toxic side effects, or the fear of addiction.
