Integrative Medicine
Integrative Medicine provides an understanding of the web-like connections of physiology. The key physiological processes that determine health and disease may be described as; communication; bioenergetics; replication and repair; protection and defence; elimination; and transport. When these processes malfunction, it gives rise to clinical imbalances. These imbalances are inter-connected; an imbalance in one system can cause an imbalance in another. Understanding clinical imbalances bridges the gap between physiology and disease diagnosis, providing a practical holistic understanding of the processes underlying health and disease. Being able to identify clinical imbalances, and understanding the relationship between clinical imbalances, allows a more complete understanding of the client’s symptoms, and most importantly facilitates choosing an effective methodology and treatment plan. This is particularly useful in the many cases where layer treatment, detox therapy or organ support is required. Understanding the wonderful interconnectedness of the physiology of the body enhances your own confidence as a practitioner.

Cultivating Healing: Nourishing Deep Connection
During this weekend you will experience a myriad of ways to connect more deeply to yourself, your patients and the substances we use for healing. You will learn how to deepen your interactions, developing the ability to use all of your senses to feel what the patient sitting in front of you is experiencing, as well as the remedy that may return them to health. And you will learn ways to consciously open and close that energetic connection as needed.
There will be multiple opportunities to foster new ways of connecting at different levels, including a remedy immersion experience designed to forge direct personal knowledge and relationship to healing substances beyond what is written in provings and materia medicas.
There will also be plenty of time to connect more deeply with each other while discussing your own patients and any personal and professional challenges that you may be encountering in these early years of practice.
This will be rather different to your time with Kim while in the four-year program; this will be a more open and relaxed experiential weekend to deepen your relationship with this magical energy healing system that we call homeopathy in order to benefit both yourself and your patients.
Weekend 4 21/22nd March – On Zoom

Known World, Unknown World
Every symptom has two sides. Hahnemann reminds us in Aphorism 11 that “It is the disease-tuned life force alone that brings forth diseases.” This life force isn’t just a mechanism for balance—it’s a dynamic information system, constantly receiving and transmitting countless signals. These signals come from our environment and are expressed through our senses as symptoms. In essence, one part of us experiences the pain, while another part produces it.
Let’s call the source of symptoms the “Symptom Maker.” The part of us that feels the pain, distress, fatigue, or emotional turmoil is familiar—we’ll call it the “Known World.” The Symptom Maker, however, operates beneath our conscious awareness—the “Unknown World.” It sends signals that often don’t align with how we usually see ourselves. These can manifest as emotional disturbances, physical symptoms, symbolic dreams, or even odd events in our environment—like a car backfiring.
Such signals can provoke emotional responses. Emotions are contagious and easily triggered by those around us. Yet emotions are not deep in themselves—they are a doorway into the deeper mystery of the Unknown World, where symptoms originate.
This course will explore how to approach case taking and analysis through techniques like relaxed attention, creating spaciousness, and accurate observation. We’ll also consider how focused thinking can sometimes block important signals.
Together, we’ll examine the rhythm of case taking and build a clear system for understanding what emerges. Looking forward to seeing you, Bill
